Don’t allow sudden dental pain and ailments to compromise the long-term health of your smile.
We have a select few emergency dental appointments available each day in instances where you require efficient care to get you smiling and pain-free again.
What counts as a dental emergency?
We encourage you to contact us if any of the following emergency instances occur:
- Impacted wisdom teeth.
- Intense dental pain that does not improve.
- Bleeding from the mouth.
- Trauma to the face, which has caused a tooth to loosen, crack or fracture.
- Broken dentures or Invisalign aligners.
- A dental abscess.
What happens during an emergency dental appointment?
- The reception team will ask you for a breakdown of your symptoms.
- If deemed necessary, one of our experienced dentists may give you a call back with advice on how to care for your mouth whilst you wait for your appointment slot.
- Attend your emergency dental appointment to receive a diagnosis. Your dentist will prioritise ensuring you leave the practice with any necessary medication and treatment to reduce your pain levels.
Next steps
If you require more extensive restorative treatment than a filling, we may need to book you in for an appointment following your emergency appointment. If you have had a tooth extracted that is not a wisdom tooth, your dentist may wish to discuss your options for replacing the tooth in the future.
The importance of emergency dentist appointments
Getting your teeth checked as soon as a dental emergency occurs is paramount. The earlier we treat your symptoms, the better chance you have of avoiding interventions such as advanced restorative treatment and tooth extractions.
