Check up / Oral Health Assessment
During your first visit to Leamington Road Dental you will have a consultation to discuss how you want to improve your dental health and smile.
During this visit we undertake a comprehensive check of your mouth to ensure it is clear of oral cancer, tooth decay, excessive wear and tear and your gums are healthy.
It is our aim to work with you to help achieve the smile you want in the most practical and cost-effective way for you.
Dental Hygiene Treatments / Preventative treatment
Improve your oral health with a dazzling professional clean that will prevent dental diseases, keep your breath fresh and bring back that ‘like new’ feeling.
Possibly one of the most important services we offer. We all know prevention is better than cure and that is why this is the core of all treatments. Fluoride therapy, oral hygiene instruction and periodontal (gum) disease managment are just a few ways we can help you. Keeping your teeth free from plaque not only keeps them looking great but keeps your gums, teeth and heart healthy.
Brushing little teeth can be a chore; as if cleaning your own teeth wasn’t enough, you’ve now got to do another set. But establishing good brushing habits early on is the best thing for making sure your child’s teeth stay strong, healthy and last a lifetime. We’re here to help offer advice and treatment to make your life, and the tooth fairy’s, a little easier. Best of all, this is all completely FREE of charge to children under the age of 5. Hooray!
Fillings and Inlays /Onlays
Who wants a grey tooth? It’s simple we don’t do grey fillings.
White fillings (composite) are strong, durable, look much more pleasing to the eye and will last a long time if looked after.
If the filling is large we may recommend you to have a porcelain inlay or onlay constructed.
This is a fantastic way to help preserve as much tooth as possible.
If your tooth is a bit worse for wear then a filling may be wishful thinking.
Cracked and heavily restored teeth can be transformed back to strength and function with this procedure. They can also be used on top of implants.
We have full ceramic crowns so no more unsightly black lines around teeth – making it look completely natural.
Years of abusing coffee, red wine, green tea, smoking can leave your teeth looking stained and discoloured. Our Opalescence teeth whitening systems are safe and a highly effective way to brighten your smile.
Root Canal Therapy / Endodontics
If you are unfortunate enough to have an abscess under your tooth we can help. Relieving both dental pain and infection, root canal treatment is the only other alternative to having the tooth removed.
Tooth wear / Grinding
Life is stressful and sadly our teeth can take quite a battering and get worn down. Treatment can range from simple bite guards to keep them safe and also help you sleep better at night up to rebuilding the worn edges so that you can smile and eat with confidence again. Botulinum Toxin can be used to help to reduce this grinding, over time creating a long term cure.
Missing a tooth? Dental implants are the most natural way to get your smile looking it’s best again.
Implants are used as supports where you have missing teeth/tooth to allow crowns, bridges or dentures to be attached to them.
Treatment depends on your personal case.
Whether improving the appearance of a single discoloured, chipped or irregular shaped tooth or changing your whole smile, veneers can be a fantastic solution when done correctly.
Be it acrylic, metal or flexible we offer all varieties of denture and our team will fully explain your options so you can choose the right one for you. Modern dentures can be a fantastic way to replace missing teeth easily and cost effectively.
Bridges are a lovely way to create a complete smile. The adjacent natural teeth are used to support the false tooth/teeth required to fill the space. This means there is no plate or anything to take out your mouth.
Extraction Tooth Removal
If it’s got to go it’s got to go, but don’t worry we will be gentle.
Thankfully, it’s the 21st Century and we’ve come a long way from brightly coloured bands and mouths full of metal. Our treatments include Six Month Smiles and which means that it’s up to you what’s right and what’s not. You’re never too old for braces – get the smile you’ve always wanted.
